Mass appeal

Surya's "Aaru", which got an `A' certificate for its "violent theme", is releasing this Friday. It is an eagerly awaited film with a lot of hype around it as it is Surya's next release after the blockbuster "Ghajini". In "Aaru", directed by Hari, Surya plays Arumugham, a goonda who grows up in the slums and challenges the gang leaders in the city. Trisha is a fashionable girl who falls in love with him. Devi Sri Prasad has scored the music. The trade feels Surya is sure to establish himself as a big star with "Aaru".
