Kalyug (Sa Re Ga Ma, Rs.145)
The throb is there, so is the lilt. It's time to fall in love. If somebody thought "Lagi Mane Se Man Ki Lagan" is all Rahat Fateh Ali Khan has to offer, listen to "Jiya Dhadak Dhadak Jaye". The song captures the early days of romance so well, that both happily and not so happily married would wish to go back in time all over again.
Rahat finds able support from lyricist Asim Raza and composers Rohil Hayat and Faisal Rafi. Asim has made the usual sona-jagna business a lovable proposition. Then we have Alisha Chinai at her best in "Dheere Dheere" with her trademark intonations and Anu Malik's beats.
In between there is "Aadat" by the Jal band. It reminds of "Zehreeli Ratein" of Chocolate but which one is the copy and which is the original is anybody's guess. So is Anu Malik given the music composer slot in an album that picks from here and there?
