Imported look Pizza Hut at Nungambakkam
It's a new Pizza Hut. Not really.
The Nungambakkam branch has been running for almost six years. It was time for a facelift, said the customers. The management agreed.
The new look has been imported from America, headquarters of the parent chain the world's largest pizza company. There's white flooring with a mosaic centre, and a looser seating arrangement that creates a more formal ambience. The earlier sectioned areas have been broken down to make way for an arrangement that is more flexible and has a larger seating capacity.
More important, the revamped restaurant will now feed more hungry souls. And not just thanks to the new look.
Low cal salads
Pizza Hut has also come up with more ways to reel in customers. On Tuesdays, you can sink into a `bottomless pizza', and eat all you want for Rs. 99. It has also added four new low cal, `Zero gravity' salads to their menu. There's a Garden salad and Pasta mint salad for the vegetarians and Tropical Chicken and Chicken Caesar Salad for the non-vegetarians.
The kid's zone has also been jazzed up with the company's mascots adorning the walls. The star mascot is Pizza Pooch, and he hangs out with characters called Pepperoni and Speedy. All three represent "Pizza Hut's delicious menu and prompt service," according to Restaurant GM, Rajesh Kumar Singh.
"Pizza Hut has always been kid-friendly," he says, adding that it's a great venue for children's birthday parties. Which is not surprising, since kids are their greediest customers.
Besides all this, Pizza Hut still promises yummy pizzas. And here's a bonus. Their waiters are so happy to serve you that they may even surprise you with a little dance mid-delivery.
