This is the time of the year when people in various States in the county celebrate their New Year. If Assamese call it Bihu then it is Visu or Malayalees or Baisakhi for the Punjabis.
Hotel Green Park is currently hosting a five-day Punjabi food festival, "Aiyee Baisakhi" from Tuesday to celebrate the Punjabi New Year in their style.
According to the hotel's marketing manager, K.M. Rao, "We have recreated a typical village scene at our lawns to give the gourmets a feel of rural Punjab."
As far as the palate is concerned the chef will be spreading an unlimited variety of lip- smacking Punjabi cuisines in both vegetarian and non-vegetarian like, murgh makhan palak, tawa machli amritsari, murgh tikka karnal, aloo chat, jalandari paneer, rajma chawal and many more.
