All for Nagma...
BIG B did it for his `brother' Amar Singh, Govinda did it for his pal Pandurang Patil and now it's Nagma. Well, what next do we hear? It is about Nagma who began her career in Hindi films with Baghi opposite Salman Khan, has now joined politics to do something "for the children".
But why politics? "I am my own person and like to do things which I like. Politics is a better platform where I can raise issues on education and uplift of minority communities."
Recently in the Capital for the launch of Pardada Pardadi store at Plaza Mall, Gurgaon, Nagma spoke more on politics than her films.
Attired in a pink sari, she won over many with her beautiful looks, unpretentious manners. Her fondness for children, her sensitive nature put her ahead of other film figures who frequently show in the Capital. She is quite media savvy too. "It is the language of heart" she insisted she would speak in to the media.
But her move to politics does not mean that she is not getting any films. Nagma who once dominated Tamil cinema is now playing Big B's daughter-in-law and a heroine opposite Bobby Deol in Ab Tumhare Hawale Watan Sathiyo. She reveals, Bobby is playing double role in the film, when he dies, the next Bobby comes in".
Besides, she is also doing a Bengali film titled Porenaam with veteran actor Victor Banerjee and has a Bhojpuri film in her kitty. Butshe hasn't been able to resist the charm of Amir Khan and Rajnikant."I would love to work with them," she gushes.
Let's wish her good luck.
