Basking in success
Actress-director Revathy talks about `Phir Milenge' and her new film
HER SECOND film, Phir Milenge has opened to critical acclaim and is faring well in the metros.
And, actress-director Revathy is thrilled no end about the response.
"The film is doing as expected. It has found good reception in urban centres, especially the multiplexes. It is slowly picking up... with people coming in by word-of-mouth," she says.
The choice of actors for the film left many surprised. Shilpa Shetty, for instance.
Ask her how easy it was to direct Shilpa, who is yet to make a mark as an actress, and Revathy states that every actor wants to experiment. "Shilpa was looking to do some good film and when I offered her the role, she gave it her all."
As for Salman, her co-star in Love and the hero of Phir Milenge, the actress says he is a "fantastic human being" who believed in this film.
How different was it working with him after all these years?
"I don't even remember what happened on the sets of Love... that was so many years ago. This was very different," she remarks.
Revathy will be seen on the silver screen soon, this time in the Hindi film Dil Jo Bhi Kahe.
To be directed by Romesh Sharma, she stars opposite Amitabh Bachchan. This is her first outing on the big screen with the `Big B' and she says she is looking forward to it.
Is she excited?
"Oh no! I'm too old for that," she quips.
