ASHOK AMRITRAJ has added another feather to his cap with the 2004 Producer of Vision award, a prestigious U.S. film award, which was given at the 2004 Vision Awards function.
The vision awards are presented annually to organisations and individuals who have exhibited exceptional "sight, foresight and insight" in their creative contributions to the enrichment of humankind.
The past awardees include personalities such as Steven Spielberg and James Cameroon.
Ashok Amritraj, the youngest of the three Amritraj brothers, is an acclaimed Hollywood film producer, whose latest film Walking Tall was a box office hit.
His Bringing Down the House, produced at a cost of $ 34 million, has raked in over $ 200 million and is very popular.
After Walking Tall, it will be Raising Helen, starring Kate Hudson. The film is to be premiered at Goa on November 29 this year at the Indian Film Festival.
Amritraj will also be kick-starting production on his next film Shop Girl.
This film is a love story between an American boy and an Indian girl.
