DONE UP in shades of blue, true to its name, this multi-cuisine restaurant offers a wholesome gastronomic experience to its burgeoning clientele. Though only five month old, the restaurant is already proving to be a crowd puller. "Of course, our location certainly helps," admits Manager Robert Kennedy. The restaurant serves Indian, Chinese, Continental, Thai, and Japanese cuisine.

"We began with the inevitable starters," which was pretty good. However, among their more innovative starters are stuffed potato with sweet chilli sauce and thread fried paneer. The latter consists of paneer wrapped in wonton skin, and then deep-fried to acquire the novel thread-like crust.

We then opted for the popular buffet option. The restaurant offers a scrumptious buffet comprising a soup, salad, rice, rotis, two vegetable dishes, both vegetarian and non-vegetarian, and there is also dessert and ice cream. The buffet lunch comes at an affordable Rs. 99 and is available on all days of the week, including sunday.

Their dal makhani deserves special mention. While the meal proved to be good value for money, it was impossible to ignore families lunching in a leisurely fashion spending quality time with each other. Besides, Neel also has a play area for kids.

Their menu includes a variety of starters, salads, rotis, sabzis, and main courses to suit vegetarian and non-vegetarian palates. Incidentally, their sizzlers are a hit with the younger crowd. The restaurant also offers sea-food lovers an interesting array to choose from including lobsters, prawns, and crabs. In their dessert section, their chocolate mousse was above average and the lychee toffee is definitely worth a try. The restaurant can do up to 200 covers at a time and has a well-stocked bar. In fact, their shooters and flamers are quite a rage with diners.

"Everyone likes to try it, not only the young people," mentions Anand Kumar, Beverage Manager of their bar, Rock. They serve cocktails, mocktails, liqueurs, wines, and champagnes. It is also one of the few restaurants in the city that offer draft beer. An average meal for two would be available at Rs. 250 to Rs. 300. Valet parking is available.
