CHOLA SHERATON'S executive chef Ramesh Javvaji has put together a variety of pies, puffs and cakes for Café Mercara's Quick Bite Festival that is on till April 30. For vegetarians, there are cheese and bell pepper turnovers, gingered tofu and celery rolls, spinach mushroom strudle and meli leo pie, while the non-vegetarian section features Polynesian coconut and crab dou dou (flaked crab meat and coconut in a creamy sauce) and chicken pot pie (chicken and bell pepper cooked in white wine and baked in a pie shell).
