Hands at your feet
THANK BOLLYWOOD for its fascination for beautifully manifesting the aristocratic Moghul era's style of décor in historical movies. The fact that the décor still remains alive in the hearts of masses is a clear indication of the Moghuls' contribution to art in its all forms. Taking a bit out of it, it is masses' turn now to prove with the help of Hands, a new store opened at New Delhi's M.G. Road that the traditional way always remains the trendy way. The store offers an array of exclusive range of carpets and rugs in traditional, contemporary and transitional designs in varied colours and textures to symphonise with your need.
From the delightful French savonneries for your drawing room to simple modern designs with pleasing colours for your kids' room, you can find the variety with a difference at the store. The store has an extensive range of hand tufted, hand knitted, flat woven durries, shaggies and Indo-Tibetian carpets from around the country. With over two floors of over 2,100 square feet each, the products are displayed in an attractive style so that a customer would be able to select a variety for his particular need.
"Quality and affordability is our aim and above all the satisfaction of a customer would be a key challenge before us. Though we have tried our best but finally, it is the customer who can differentiate between quality and inferior product", says Dipankar Choudhary of Hands. As the year's biggest festivals are fast approaching, the store plans to come up with a special "Diwali Collection" and "Kids' Collection".
To make sure that a customer gets quality products, Choudhury says, the store has set up two quality-check departments without which no product comes out for the final sale. It also specialises in undertaking customised projects for hotels, casinos, museums, villas and palaces around the world.
