A complete collegiate meal...
KENT'S CORNER, established many years ago in Delhi's upmarket Defence Colony area, is synonymous with hamburgers. No wonder then when the idea of opening up a restaurant in Satya Niketan germinated in the mind of Group Captain Rajkumar, he didn't have to think too hard over the name.
Bang opposite Sri Venkateswara College, the restaurant, Kent's, claims to have priced its dishes with a view to make it affordable for students, who form a bulk of its clientele.
Since its inception - about a month ago - it has been selling not just hot dogs, burgers, seekh kebabs and chicken tikkas but also piping hot steamed momos.
Sensing momos as one of the hot favourites of youngsters, the restaurant has hired the services of a Tibetan chef for authenticity.
About the prices, while a Chota Vegetarian Burger is available at Rs. 22 ,a bigger version can be bought for Rs. 32. In economy meals, a Non Vegetarian Burger - contains not just the burger but also a glass of Pepsi and French fries - has been priced at Rs. 35.
The Chicken Burger may not be king size but is yummy. Besides, there are condiments like hot and cold spices, coleslaw sauce, cabbage and mayonnaise too.
By the way, along with the meal, try the ice cream shakes.
