DIG IN: Burgers are irresistible.
TO GET to Bronzy's Fried Chicken (BFC), head south towards Somajiguda as though you were going to Yasodha Hospital. Turn into the gravel parking lot of the white building on your right, which is adorned with a red neon sign that reads Bronzy's.
You have arrived at the place where there are "hot chicks inside" aplenty, waiting to be devoured. Very many other hungry men and women also wait in anticipation inside the chrome-glass swanky eatery (Tel: 23415444), tucked in the busy thoroughfare. At this outlet (the first in India), the journey begins with fresh chicken, marinated and delicately coated to enhance its natural flavour.
"We then place the chicken in specially designed Broaster pressure fryer, which instantaneously seals the product under pressure, locking in all its natural moisture. In minutes you have a taste sensation that is truly one-of-a-kind, known the world over as Genuine Broaster Chicken," explains restaurant manager, Md. Asad. The first bite in the crispy, nutty, golden-brown coating will tell the rest of the tender and juicy story.
BFC has been in business in the U.S. for the last 40 years and the loyal clientele it has carved for itself will agree. Bronzy's turns out to be a pleasant habit soon, says Asad. Going by the long client list of regulars the restaurant has wooed in only two months of its existence, Asad is apparently not far from the truth.
The interior is as sans frills as the exteriors. But one doesn't come here for the frills. People come here for the marvellous food. Bronzy's QVC (Quality n' Value combo) menu showcases delectable crispies, burgers, spirals and tikkis, offered along with colas, finger fries and potato wedges.
But certainly this is not the place for anorexics on a diet or for those conscious about their cholesterol levels. Bronzy's is a 50-seater happy, fun-place for food lovers. Options for our lettuce-loving friends although limited, taste great.
Prices show an upward slant but the taste justifies, more or less. One can get anything here from Rs. 5 to Rs. 500. And students can chill out with their pet Bronzy's student combo, and sing Jambalaya.
