Fashion at a friendly price
For those fashion-conscious Chennai-ites, the new Saks outlet on Commander-in-Chief Road, Egmore, has much to offer by way of casual wear. There is also a wide range of accessories to choose from.
TRENDY CLOTHES at an affordable price tag these are the buzzwords among the fashion conscious youth of Chennai. And Saks the casual shop, which opened recently opened in the city, is all set to provide just that. Although brands do matter, some feel they really don't as long as the clothes do not make them look outdated.
The new Saks outlet stocks a range of formal, informal and Indo-Western apparel. Sand blasted jeans and embroidered jeans, priced from Rs. 300 upwards, a variety of denims and trousers at a similar price tag, comprise a major part of the men's and women's collection. Women's wear includes georgette, denim shirts, cotton shirts, Indo-Western short kurtas, tees and spaghettis (ranging from Rs.150 onwards) to go with jeans.
Shirts, formal trousers, kurtis and crushed cotton shirts make up the range of men's wear. Daring colours and designer wear, cool tees and short skirts with cartoon prints, embroidered frocks, and, of course, jeans comprise the collection of children's wear.
The store has trial rooms for children and adults. "We have our own export unit where we manufacture the apparel. We feel there is a need to provide quality for the money a customer spends. So, our store focusses on those who cannot afford to wear branded clothes but still want to look trendy," says Ashok G. Asrani of Saks.
To add to the collection, there are accessories such as leather belts, caps, jewellery and hand bags also on display. Saks is located at No.1 Wellingdon Estate (opposite Ethiraj College), C-in-C Road, Egmore.
