Friends again

J.D. CHAKRAVARTHY appears clean-shaven in a couple of scenes in his next film Kasi. The scenes, which require three days of shooting, however, are very important to the story, he says. Incidentally, Kasi became instrumental in bringing J.D. and producer Srinivas Reddy together. The two had almost come to blows after the debacle of Navvuthu Brathakaliraa. They also went to court to settle matters. However, when director Lakshmi Srinivas gave the script to Srinivas Reddy, the latter instantly said J.D. would suit the role best and told Lakshmi Srinivas to take J.D.'s dates. "Now, we are very good friends," says J.D.
