`Main Prem Ki Diwani Hoon', an intense love story by Sooraj Barjatya, is running in a theatre in town

SHE HAS the money, she has the looks, and she has the freedom. She has lovely parents, adoring friends and pets Johnny the doggie and Raja the talking parrot. This is the story of Sanjana, just out of college and in a fix. Oh! Her over-ambitious mother is ever anxious to get her married to a rich man. Sanjana's married-and-settled-in-the-U.S. sister has someone on mind. And, he is going to visit them soon. Miserable all the more!
But there is help and solace in this quagmire her more-of-a-friend father, her pets and her friends. Of course, everyone is right in his/her own point of view. While Satya Prakash, Sanjana's father, thinks she is his strength and he hers, both being equally sensitive and fun-loving, Susheela, her mother despite being ridiculed as a traditional thinker feels she should settle down with a rich guy who can shower his wealth on Sanjana.
And now step in Prem two of them, both good friends, both diametrically opposite in everything. While one (played by Hrithik Roshan) is mischievous but selfless and loving, the other (played by Abhishek Bachchan) is an introvert young business tycoon. The `Angels', Sanjana's girl gang different from each other like chalk and cheese with only friendship binding them together, just like her pets, have to give the "go-ahead". On the other end are the young tycoon's mother and secretary who are awaiting a girl who can brighten up his life. Now, you don't have to wait too long to know who wins over who. Main Prem Ki Diwani Hoon, another family-`n'-love-saga from Rajshri Productions, almost three years after Hum Saath Saath Hain, is getting ready for release.The highlight of the film, perhaps, would be the digitally created talking parrot Raja (thanks to Crest Communication) who sports a hat, gun, jacket and oh-so-cool sunglasses, and Johny, who shares his name with Prem's (Abhishek) secretary.Kareena Kapoor is Sanjana, a girl of today's generation. Hrithik Roshan and Abhishek Bachchan play Prem(s). Others in the cast include Pankaj Kapoor, Himani Shivpuri, Rima Lagoo and Johny Lever among others. Anu Malik recreates the magic of music for this musical.
About the cast, Sooraj Bharjatya says, "I found my Sanjana the moment I saw Kareena in Refugee. I signed Hrithik to challenge myself. And, Abhishek was my first and last choice for his role.""In this film, I've challenged myself as a maker. I've come out of a comfort zone. I've captured Sanjana's life, moment by moment... what happened in that one month of her life. She falls in love with her parents' approval. We can imagine the strength of her lover when she has her parents' support. And, her love is tested... Main Prem Ki Diwani Hoon Sanjana and I both believe in it," says the director about his film. Are we gonna wait till Sanjana's intensity of love overpowers >us?
