Diamonds are forever

EVERYTHING THAT glitters is diamonds. And that's for real in Kaizad Gustad's much awaited film, "Boom". The film that opens with sizzling beauties adorned with the world's best diamonds, is sure to turn several heads, what with the opening shots of a fashion show at Gate Way of India sequence literally glowing with the ever-in-demand stone. With help from the Diamond Trading Company (DTC) of the De Beers Group, the glamorous girls walk the ramp wearing 400 carats of real diamonds. Two of the designs also bagged the Diamond International Awards. To bring in star-dazzle, Gustad has also roped in other heavyweights from the celluloid world — Amitabh Bachchan and Jackie Shroff play underworld dons and the beauties that catwalk and catfight are no less than Madhu Sapre, Katrina Kaif and Padma Laxmi. More sizzle and sparkle? Yes, Hollywood beauty Bo Derek and leading models Vidisha Pawate, Joey Matthews, Miriam and Nayonika Chatterjee are all there to spice up this fast-paced thriller where each one vies with the other for the shimmering stones.
