HERE'S GOOD news for avid gardeners and horticulturists, above all, in a water starved city. Water Saver Tablets manufactured by Rich Saai (F-4-213, SIDCo Nagar, Villivakkam) can be implanted near plants. Usually, when one waters plants, the water gets dried up in a few hours. But when water saver tablets are implanted near plants prior to watering, the tablets absorb the water and release it slowly to the plants at regular intervals. The manufacturers claim that the tablets help save up to 50 per cent of water.
