Useful for plant lovers

HERE'S GOOD news for avid gardeners and horticulturists, above all, in a water starved city. Water Saver Tablets manufactured by Rich Saai (F-4-213, SIDCo Nagar, Villivakkam) can be implanted near plants. Usually, when one waters plants, the water gets dried up in a few hours. But when water saver tablets are implanted near plants prior to watering, the tablets absorb the water and release it slowly to the plants at regular intervals. The manufacturers claim that the tablets help save up to 50 per cent of water.

The tablets are said to have a unique plant formula enhanced with neem, help plant growth and germination, have 700 per cent water retention capacity and reduce water costs, contain slow release fertilizer, have a life of three years, are light weight, easy to handle and store, contain natural pesticide and stimulate microbiological activity.

They can be used for indoor and potted and suspended plants, flowering garden plants, vegetables, hydroponic systems, seed germination planting shrubs and trees, propagating cuttings, fertilizing lawns, composting and as a soil coniditioner for sandy or clayey soil.
