SURESH GOPI, the tall action hero of Malayalam cinema who became a cult image with his thundering dialogue delivery and angry looks is all set to join politics. Last week, he was seen on the beaches of Marad, in Kerala consoling victims of the communal riot. Gopi, who had no major releases for the last one year is spending his time attending all social functions in the State.

Though his entry into politics is not yet confirmed, it is rumoured that it will be through the ruling Congress (I) in Kerala. The actor has told his friends that if the high command and the state unit decide, he will definitely contest from Kollam, which is his hometown.
