GOING GREAT GUNS: Madhavan
R. MADHAVAN seems to be riding the crest of success. After his performance with Kamal Hassan in Anbe Sivam (Satyame Sivam in Telugu), the actor is now shooting for Nala Damayanthi directed by Mouli.
After returning from his shooting stint at Melbourne Madhavan is happy to say that he is playing the role of a cook from Palghat originally scripted by Kamal Hassan for himself.
"It is an extension of the character of Kamaraj in Kamal's earlier film Michael Madana Kamaraj. I had a hilarious time shooting for it," says Madhavan.
He is also thrilled about the way Kannathil Muttamittal (Amrita in Telugu) is receiving accolades at the international fora (though it was not commercially successful within the country).
"It is going to be screened on the last day at the Indian Film Festival of Los Angeles which is being held for the first time in the U.S. between April 23 to 27. It is an honour and I will be representing the film," says Madhavan.
By the way his career is hectic as he is scheduled to sign films with K.S. Ravi Kumar, Charan, Gautam Menon and Linguswamy.
He is flooded with offers from Bollywood but is waiting for an exceptional script. Way to go Maddy!
