Have a quick bite
|
Quickbites offers precisely what the name suggests - tasty, ready-to-eat, snacks.

QUICKBITES IS the sixth link in the Azad chain of restaurants in the city.
Situated near the Overbridge, it was inaugurated this January, and is more of a bakery than a restaurant.
As the name suggests, Quickbites gives you an array of quick bites such as burgers, rolls, puffs and cutlets.
For those with time in hand, there are pizzas -- chicken, mushroom and cheese -- priced between Rs. 30 and Rs. 35.
They have a wide range of ghee-based sweetmeats too, which include the halwa and laddoo.
Their masterpiece, as they claim, is Maskouth halwa (Rs. 120 per kg), made with rice flour and coconut milk. This sweet is very tasty and stays fresh for a long time.
Then there are the fruit halwa, dates halwa, black halwa (all priced at Rs. 120 per kg) and the regular ghee halwa (Rs. 140 per kg).
Cookies -- coconut, chocolate, nuts and cornflakes -- baked in their factories are quite popular.
The fresh cream pastries on offer are Black Forest and Butterscotch, priced at Rs. 18 apiece.
They are yummy and worth every penny you pay.
Parippuvada and uzhunnuvada give a local flavour to the fare on offer. "When we started, we aimed at the middle-class crowd. But now, a lot of north Indians too come in. Students also come here in droves in the evening," says Mahin Azad, a scion of the Azad family who manages this outlet.
Also available are a variety of fresh juices that compliment the eats.
Fibre optic lights playing colourfully on the ceiling set the mood for the evening.
