Book on 'child labour'
A book on, `Elimination of child labour - role of schools', brought out by the United Nations Children's Emergency Fund, was released by the director of the National Child Labour Project, L. Thoudhu, at a function orgnaised by the Bala Vikas Foundation here last week.
He spoke on the efforts being made by the district administration in dealing with the problem of child labour. About 3,500 child labourers were enrolled in 70 `Bala Karmika Vikas Kendras' in the district and they were being admitted into regular schools after imparting formal education.
The secretary of BVF, Narava Prakasa Rao, presided.
The field officer of NCLP, Trinadh Sahu and the BJP Minority Cell vice president, Riaz Ahmed participated.
