Humming a lullaby
THE BIG surprise at the `Unity Of Light' concert by A. R. Rahman was the public appearance of `Chinnakuyil' Chitra after a long time. Chitra became the proud mother of a baby girl ,Nandana, recently.
Said a beaming Chitra: "The birth of my daughter after a long time was the happiest event in my life and I cannot stop thanking God for this wonderful gift. When Rahman requested me to come for the live show, I agreed as it was for a noble cause".
Chitra as per doctor's advice has been off recording studios three months before the birth of her daughter, and now, she is slowly resuming her singing.
However, at a time when the North Indian singers are making a beeline to the South, this queen of melody has sung nine songs for Sooraj Barjatya's musical "Main Prem Ki Deewani Hoon" under the baton of Anu Malik. This Hrithik Roshan-Kareena Kapoor-Abhishek Bachchan musical extravaganza is from the house of Rajshree. Baby Nandana can hear her mother humming a lot more now.
