A variety of flavours can be scooped up from Minus 24, a new ice-cream parlour in the city. And the prices won't leave you cold.
If you have a sweet tooth, check out the ice-creams at the recently opened Minus 24 at Style Plus, Kaudiar. Customised ice-cream has been a recent introduction. The scoops start at Rs. 8 for vanilla, strawberry and orange.
A scoop of chocolate ice cream, coffee, pineapple or mango will cost you just Rs. 9, while chocolate chips, pista flavour and kulfi come at Rs. 10 per scoop.
You can choose the topping for your ice-cream and the price starts at Rs. 3. The topping includes cashewnut, almonds, crispies, raisins, coloured vermicelli, malted chocolate and butterscotch nuts.
Other specialities include the sauce for the ice cream such as strawberry, chocolate and mango. The joint is a new venture by Kamil Mohammed. "The ice-creams are from Joy. They are very soft and are as good as or better than some of the other brands. Our products too are reasonably priced," says Kamil.
A special offer is "pay Rs. 120 and eat as many scoops as you want".
Do the names, `Pink Panther', `Twister', `Matilda' and `Double Impact', ring any bell?
Well these are not the names of Hollywood flicks as you probably thought, but new combinations of ice creams named after Hollywood films.
The `Pink Panther' is all about two scoops of strawberry ice cream with strawberry sauce, nuts and pink crispies.
You could dig into `Armageddon', which is a mix of chocolate and coffee scoops in coffee shake with chocolate paste and nuts. Mix three scoops of chocolate and vanilla, add a pinch of cinnamon and voila! You get `Silence of the Creams'.
The décor of the parlour is pleasing.
