Will to win

SUNGEETA JAIN is an Indian expatriate in the U.S. Her life is made of the stuff you find only on the silver screen. The following are two phases of her life.

Snapshot one: 1986. Life takes a sad turn for 10-year old Sungeeta Jain. A devastating accident leaves her a paraplegic. "One moment I was sleeping in the rear seat of my parents' car, and the next moment, there were ambulances all around, and doctors telling my parents I would never walk again."

Snapshot two: 1993. A girl in a wheelchair wins the Miss Teen of Washington title beating 29 competitors without any disability, for the first time. She is Sungeeta Jain! Today, 26-year old Sungeeta practises law.

Tell Sungeeta she is special, and she says: "I am not special, God is. He can turn any situation around. No matter how hopeless it is. That is what He has done to my life."
