Togged for the rains

The new line at Indulge in White House at Begumpet helps one rig out for the festive season as well as the rains.

EVENING WEAR: Be the belle de balle

THE SUMMER is over and the monsoon is here - at least it is supposed to be. That is anyway beside the point as a change of seasons indicate it is time to change your wardrobe and yes, yes it is time to indulge at Indulge - the cool store at White House next to the Lifestyle building in Begumpet.

"We have got the new collection with two things in mind," says Divya, proprietor of Indulge. "Rakhi and the rains."

For the festive occasion, there are nifty suits in a tissue/georgette mix for Rs 2,000.

An elegant georgette with chemical lace comes for Rs 2,000. Crushed georgette suits in block prints with sequins highlighting the blocks for Rs 1,225 are a steal.

The material comes with five colour options with the lining so that you do not have to compromise on the fall.

Another interesting outfit is a tissue and jacquard kurta teamed with moss crepe salwar in peacock blue for Rs 1,485.

CLUTCH IT: Bags in jute and brocade.

A dressy net on chiffon with sequins, a chiffon dupatta and moss crepe salwar is good buy at Rs 1,465.

"For the monsoon we have this whole line of semi-crepe and printed crepe for Rs 1,225. This is the kind of weather when one can wear crepe and maintenance is not an issue." Divya has however stocked some pretty organdie for the "cotton loyalists despite the weather."

The printed chiffon sets (with lining for Rs 880) are a must have for working women.

An absolute darling is this peach-red chiffon with just a kiss of silver on it. Georgettes with Lucknowi embroidery right down the front can be had for Rs 950 in a whole range of colours.

College girls on the look out for cool stuff, reasonably priced should check out the hakoba range. For Rs 650, you get a wide variety of designs and colours.

There are cotton suits in block prints for starting at Rs 475.

For a semi formal occasion, you could go in for the suits in jute with dori work or shaded suits with silver embroidery.

GEM STONES: Art in stones.

Or you could go in for this sky blue suit, which has everything on it from pin, tucks to lace and embroidery for Rs 950. The regular stuff like kurtas starting at Rs 350, cotton tops for Rs 250 and tops from Positive Approach are available as always.

Other new arrivals include articles decorated with crushed gemstones from Jaipur that make excellent gifts and rhodium coated pendants, chains and earrings.

Hey, it does not really matter whether it is raining or not, just put on your shopping shoes and indulge.
