Khuswant Singh in his inimitable style turned the tables when he noted that he "had no illusions" as to why people were present in large numbers. "It's an Amitabh darshan," declared the sardar adding that he had wondered whether if there would be a crowd at all. While a mellowed Khuswant Singh went on to recall his long association with Bachchan's father, the superstar paid glowing tributes to him.
