A MONTH and a half of daily evening concerts await Indian classical music lovers. They can ill-afford to miss the 65th Annual Ramanavami music festival to be held by the Ramaseva Mandali. The event was the brainchild of the amazing S.V. Narayanaswamy Rao who gave up his job and dedicated his life to propagating music. Pick any illustrious Carnatic or Hindustani musician, and he or she would most likely have performed at the festival. This year's fest, inaugurated last week, includes Yesudas and Balamurali Krishna, among a host of others. At Fort High School, Chamarajpet, opposite The City Institute, from 5.15 p.m. to 9.30 p.m. daily, until May 18. For more details phone 6604031, 6674031, 6524158.
