Playing a patriot... Ajay Devgun.

EVEN as everyone from the ordinary film-going public to film personalities are wondering why seven decades later there is a sharp interest in the life and times of Bhagat Singh, both Ajay Devgun, who acts as Bhagat Singh in "The legend of Bhagat Singh" and Raj Kumar Santoshi, producer felt that in all these years no one had delved into the psyche of the man who laid down his life for the country. Said Devgun, earlier films may have talked about certain incidents of his life but not what drove him to take such bold steps. Devgun was confident that this role would portray Bhagat Singh's life honestly. Santoshi achieved a coup when he managed to get Bhagat Singh's younger brother to attend the music release of the film in the Capital recently.
