New Delhi (PTI): The wholesale prices of cashew kernel eased by Rs 5 each per kg in the national capital on Saturday on sluggish demand from stockists and retailers.

Cashew kernel variety (No 180, 210, 240 and 320) lacked necessary buying support and lost by Rs 5 each to Rs 435-445, Rs 395-405, Rs 330-335 and Rs 300-305 per kilo respectively.

Traders said adequate stocks against sluggish demand mainly brought down cashew prices.

Elsewhere, prices of other commodities, after moving in a narrow range, on alternate bouts of trading, settled at last levels.

Following were Saturday's quotations per 40 kgs bag: Almond (California) new 8,700 Almond (gurbandi) 4,800 Almond (girdhi) 3,050, Almond kernel (California) 310-311 Almond kernel (gurbandi) (kg) 300-325 and Abjosh Afghani 6,000-12,000.
