New Delhi (PTI): Sugar prices turned weak between Rs 10 to Rs 25 a quintal in the national capital market today following ample supply amid fall in demand.

Marketmen said huge ready stocks position triggered by selling pressure mills mainly pulled down sugar prices.

Sugar ready medium and second grade prices went down from Rs.1610-1660 and Rs.1590-1640 to settle at Rs.1590-1640 and Rs.1475-1625 a quintal respectively on poor offtake.

Mill delivery medium and second grade price also met with resistance on ample supply and traded at Rs.1350-1530 and Rs.1330-1520 from Rs.1370-1540 and Rs.1350-1530 a quintal respectively.

Among mill gate section, Modi Nagar, Daurala, Chandpur and Titabi sugar prices eased to Rs.10 each at Rs.1500, Rs.1510, Rs.1350 and Rs.1515 a quintal respectively.

Baghpat, Mawana, Simbhawali and Khatauli price also closed lower by Rs.5 each at Rs.1480, Rs.1510, Rs.1505, Rs.1505 a quintal respectively.

Sugar ready M-30 1590-1640 and S-30 1575-1625.

Mill delivery M-30 1350-1530 and S-30 1330-1520.

Sugar mill gate prices (excluding duty): Modi Nagar 1500,Bagpat 1480, Daurala 1510, Chandpur 1350, Titabi 1515, Mawana 1510, Simbhawali 1505 Khatauli 1505, Badaiun 1350, Sattha 1345, Ruderavilash 1365, Bijnor 1430, Amroha 1440 and Samali Rs 1430.
