Hyderabad (PTI): Despite having won five matches on the trot, Mumbai Indians skipper Sachin Tendulkar today said his team could not afford to take Deccan Chargers lightly in their Indian Premier League tie here on Sunday.

"The team is feeling confident but not over-confident in the wake of the recent successes and would want to make winning a habit," he told reporters ahead of tomorrow's match against Deccan Charger here.

Showering praise on his opening partner Sanath Jayasuriya, Tendulkar said the veteran Sri Lankan was a special player and a treat to watch him play for his IPL team "but not against India".

Asked for his comments on the slap row involving Harbhajan Singh and S Sreesanth, he said he wants to focus on cricket and not around cricket.

On how he felt leading a team in the Twenty20 format, the master batsman said he got help from senior players like Jayasuriya and Shaun Pollock and that he told the players to speak to him if they have any ideas.

He did not agree with the view that Twenty20 would affect Tests and one-dayers, saying it boiled down to individual preferences besides the longer formats requiring different skills.

Deccan Chargers captain Adam Gilchrist said the team's dismal performance was frustrating but hoped they would put up an impressive show next year having learnt lessons from the inaugural tournament.

On tomorrow's match, he said though the team has won against Mumbai Indians earlier it will be a different proposition tomorrow.

"But the team hoped to make things as difficult as possible (for Mumbai)," Gilchrist said.
