12 labourers killed after wall collapses

Gurgaon (PTI): At least 12 labourers were killed and more than 20 injured when a wall at an under- construction site collapsed in a village near here.

Gurgaon Deputy Commissioner Rakesh Gupta said the incident took place Saturday night at Khedakhuram village in Farrukhnagar tehsil, around 30 km from here.

The labourers were living adjacent to the under- construction site, he said.

All the injured have been rushed to the civil hospital, Gurgaon and the toll is likely to go up.

Officials said the materials used for the construction were not of good quality.

The height of the wall was around 20 feet, while the length was around 100 metre.
