Solan (HP) (PTI): Three tourists, including a woman and a girl child, from Bangalore were killed and four others injured when the vehicle in which they were travelling fell into a deep gorge in Himachal Pradesh's Solan district on Friday, police said.

The tourists were returning to Chandigarh from Shimla when their Sports Utility Vehicle fell into the deep gorge near Waknaghat, about 10 km from Kandaghat, killing three on the spot and injuring four others, Station House Officer (SHO) Kandaghat Laik Ram Sisodia told PTI.

He said the deceased have been identified as K C Natrajan, Nalini and nine-year-old Manisha. He said it was not yet clear if they belonged to the same family as the tourists were in a group.

The injured have been admitted to Solan Government Hospital.
