Awards for artists

K.V.Ramanachari, executive officer, TTD and president of Sri Thyagaraja Festival Committee, K.T.Road, Tirupati, and M.Krishnaswami, chairman, Sri Thyagaraja Trust, Tirupati, have organised a Sadas on August 3 at 5.30 p.m., to be held at Sri Thyagaraja Trust premises, K.T.Road, Tirupati. Musicians S.R.Janakiraman, Seetha Doraiswamy and Kamalakar Rao will be honoured on the occasion with the conferment of the title, ‘Sapthagiri Sangeetha Vidwanmani,’ by A.P.V.N.Sarma, secretary, department of shipping, Government of India, on the occasion. The award carries a shawl, Gold medal, citation and a cash prize, (presented annually by P.Obul Reddy).
