Music contest for young aspirants

The Kamala T. Avadhany Memorial Award, Bangalore, has been conducting Carnatic music competitions for children 15 years and below for the past three years. This fourth edition will be conducted on October 12. Candidates should send in their cassettes/CDs based on which selection will be made. Also they should indicate a choice of five compositions. Three cash prizes will be awarded. Those who wish to take part should send in their applications along with a security deposit of Rs. 250 either by cash or cheque in favour of Bettadapura Sankethi Sangha, Bangalore.
