Construction of the five-tier rajagopuram of Karpaga Vinayakar Temple, No.1, I Main Road, Kumaran Nagar, Virugambakkam Post, commenced in September. A Dwajasthambam is also being planned. The resplendent deities of Subramanya, Aiyyappan and Kalyana Venkatesa Perumal, besides Lord Karpaga Vinayakar face East, while Goddess Durga in the centre faces North. Contributions by way of cheque or as building materials are solicited.
