Nandi Fine Arts fest
Nandi Fine Arts will celebrate its 22nd annual music festival from December 14 to 21.
The venue is Sri Venugopalaswamy Temple Auditorium, Gopalapuram.
At the inauguration, vocalist Suguna Purushottaman will be presented the Srimad Santhananda Swamigal Award.
The title of Nandikeswara Nada Kaladhara will also be conferred on her.
On the last day, at 6.30 p.m., K.J.Yesudas will be honoured with the Violin Maestro Kalaimamani L. Vaidyanathan Award for Achievement.
The festival will be inaugurated by K. Lakshman, secretary, Chennai Om Sri Skandasram, and the chief guest will be Dr. S. Rangaswami, Vice Chancellor, Sri Ramachandra Medical University.
The festival will feature the concerts of Suguna Purushottaman (vocal), M. Lalitha and M. Nandini (violin), Vijay Venkateswar (vichitra veena), R. S. Jayalakshmi (veena), K. Bhaskaran (flute) and Padma Govardhan, and Vishunupriya Mallela from New Zealand.
