Dasari bags `Sainikudu' rights
Dasari Narayana Rao, who had directed and produced several films, besides acting in some of them, had distanced himself from the industry for quite some time. After a long gap, Dasari set his eyes on film distribution. As a step forward, he grabbed the distribution rights of Jai Chiranjeeva and also Style. Now, it is reliably learnt that he had also bagged the release rights of Sainikudu featuring Maheshbabu. However, the film is yet to begin its shooting.
Siddharth inspires Chakri
Movie Moghal D. Ramanaidu unveiled the audio of Chukkallo Chandrudu at a glittering function in Club Jayabheri recently. Chakri, who scored music for the film, thanked K.S. Rama Rao for giving him an opportunity to work for Siddharth, who has a terrific music sense. Chakri says, "Siddharth inspired my music and gave good suggestions. Like my combination with Raviteja was a success, my latest combo with Siddharth would also be fruitful." The speciality of the film is that the hero not only gave story but also rendered a few songs. Kona Venkat penned the screenplay. Alexander Vallabha produced the film on the banner of Creative Commercials, while K.S. Ramarao presented it. The audio is marketed by Maruthi Music.
Multi-talented star son
Suryaprakash, son of director K. Raghavendra Rao, who acted in Neetho (Telugu) and Morning Raaga (Hindi) went behind the screen now and is looking after the graphics work for Sri Ramadasu, the bio-periodic film being directed by his father. It may be mentioned that he also tested his hand in the department of direction for Morning Raga and Bellyful of Dream, and proved successful. Nagarjuna and Sneha are playing the lead roles in Sri Ramadasu. The film is being produced by Konda Krishnamraju and J.K. Bharavi penned story and dialogues, while Keeravani is supporting it with melodious tunes.
Vying for the Sharjah cup
The Telugu film industry had organised cricket matches several times to help the needy within the industry. Now, the Andhra Pradesh Film Employees Federation is planning to host a cricket match, which will be played at the famous stadium in Sharjah. The match titled `NTR and MGR Memorial Cup' would be played on January 27 in which several major Telugu and Tamil stars would participate. The profits earned from the cricket match would be shared between AP Film Employees Federation and the Gulf Telugus Association. At least 30,000 are expected to watch the match.
Yuvan composes for Venky
Recording of songs for Venkatesh's forthcoming venture Aadavari Matalaku Ardhale Verule began recently at the unit's production office. Sriraghava, who had directed a blockbuster like 7/G Brindavan Colony is wielding the megaphone for this film, while Yuvan Shankar Raja is providing music for the first time to a Venkatesh's film. N.V. Prasad and Sanam Naga Ashok Kumar are jointly producing the film, which will go on floors . in February 2006.
