Visa has launched a new commercial featuring Richard Gere.

Visa has launched a new Asia Pacific TV commercial, "Birds" as part of the "All It Take" brand campaign. Jodhpur in Rajasthan is the location for the filming of the commercial which features Hollywood superstar Richard Gere.
The commercial reflects the imagery of India and brings together a cast and crew that is a blend of the best of the East and the West. The commercial opens with a breathtaking view at sunrise of the mystic Jawant Thada, the graceful marble cenotaph of Maharaja Jaswant Singh in Jodhpur. John Steere, Regional Director of VISA International, speaking on the occasion, said "When we began working on our new commercial we sought out the perfect celebrity and theme that would reflect our brand promise and commitment of empowerment."
The Indian cast of colourful personalities - the little girl, the guide, the bird merchant - and the rustic and energetic music score come together perfectly in a dramatic enactment of the Visa brand promise. More importantly the commercial depicts a true blend of Hollywood and Bollywood. Ranjit Barot composed the earthy and rhythmic music for the commercial. The launch was marked by a musical performance by Ranjit Barot and others. The youngsters swayed to live music as the lights dimmed and the crowd trickled in braving the afternoon heat of the Capital.
