The story revolves round the Poduvals. Sreekanda Poduval, is a noted astrologer. His wife, Vasundhara, daughter Bindu, sons Vinayachandran and Mohanachandran form his nuclear family.

Besides astrology, Poduval runs several business ventures jointly with Sekhara Menon, a Minister and other big-wigs. The soft-spoken, good-natured Poduval is also ruthless in achieving what he wants.

The true colours of the status-conscious Poduval come to the forefront when his sister, Valsala marries Madhavan, a journalist.

Directed by A. M. Nazir, the cast includes Narendra Prasad, Sreeraman, Mukundan, Reshmi Soman, Manga Mahesh and Remya Remanan.
