Blend of action and romance

IT IS a printing press. People are busy. A young girl comes to the marketing manager. An eye donation camp is to be conducted and they want some pamphlets to be printed for the occasion. After knowing the cost she leaves the place but her heart does not leave very easily. A bond develops between them. Do they unite in wedlock? One must wait to know it till Goldmine pictures "Bala" is released. The shooting was held at a printing press and in the heart of the city — Royapettah. The lead pair was Sham and Meera Jasmine.

"Bala" is an action oriented love story. How the hero faces hurdles in his love life is the basis of the film. This is told with all the box office formula along with a neat screenplay. "My aim is to do an entertaining film and that has been achieved with this project. Sham has given full cooperation and Meera Jasmine of "Run" fame is the heroine of the movie", says director Deepak.

Producer Raju Mahalingam says, "Director Deepak has come out with a neat script and he has all the ideas to make it a good film. There are five songs and Yuvan Shanker Raja has composed them beautifully." Sham, the hero says it is the first film in which he works as an action hero. "Neither "12B" or "Yeh Nee Romba Azhaga Eruke" is an action film. But in this film I am doing more of action-oriented scenes. It has love, sentiment, family drama but action will be the highlight of the film. I think I will be getting more such stories once this film is released. Deepak has done the homework well. I expect this film eagerly".

Heroine Meera Jasmine is more interested in knowing whether we liked her performance in "Run". About "Bala" she says: "It is a good story where I will prove myself. The director is working meticulously. I feel the film is taking shape very well".

Apart from the lead pair Sham and Meera Jasmine, Raghuvaran, Thilagan, Nagesh, Rajan P. Dev, Kalairani, Santoshi and Karunas are in the cast Editing is done by V. T. Vijayan, art is taken care of by R.K. Nagu, camera is handled by Priyan, dances are choregraphed by Brinda, Ajai Raj and Dinesh, action scenes are composed by Super' Subbarayan, music is scored by Yuvan Shanker Raja and the film is produced by the Raja Balu and Raju Mahalingam. Story, screenplay, dialogue and direction are by Deepak.
