THE UPRIGHT citizen is in action again so after "Ezhumalai" it will be "Sarvadhikari". The complete `action king' is a police officer this time, strict yet kind ... and hence a benevolent dictator. Gazala, one of his "Ezhumalai" heroines, is the female lead. Produced by Raj Film International's Ramanathan and written and directed by K. Subhash, the film will be shot extensively in and around Hyderabad. Yet can foreign locations be left out? Nevertheless the places you will see are going to be different the lead pair will prance around in the Netherlands and Greece. So watch out for exotica such as the Hanging Gardens of Babylon this will be the first time a Tamil song sequence is shot there.

In memory of the legend
A year has gone by since `Sivaji' Ganesan passed away and the Sivaji-Prabhu Trust is making efforts to make the occasion memorable by organising social service activities, the inspiration coming from the legend's sons Ramu and actor Prabhu.
The day, July 21, will be marked by blood donation, free meals, distribution of spectacles for the poor and notebooks and textbooks for deserving school students.
On the intellectual side, a symposium of poetry will be conducted. Poet Valee will be the moderator. Thenkachi Ko. Swaminathan will be the special speaker on the occasion. Both the sons of Sivaji Ganesan, actor Prabhu and Ramu, are organising the function.
