Dwindling numbers, growing concern
The large number of teaching posts lying vacant in colleges and universities has become a matter of concern to the authorities. The University Grants Commission wants at least 80 per cent of the sanctioned posts to be filled up soon in these institut ions, G. Mahadevan<165> reports.
