English language
151; This is with reference to the article "Many perspectives, one language" (Education page, Jan-28). English has a wide range of limitations as an instrument of communication in official as well as commercial usage. The use of English as subservient in education and commercial activity has vast delimitations, which accounts for its role as a modern tool to establish an overall social supremacy and status to the individuals who adorn the skill and proficiency in the language.
Hence, the knowledge and proficiency in English under the prevailing circumstances is rather considered as an advantage to claim one's social status and identity to exist in society. Therefore it seldom is a handicap in the socio-economic and political conditions of society to acquire skills and proficiency in English.
