ADILABAD: K. Ravinder Reddy (38) of Sangi village in Jainad mandal was arrested by II Town police on Sunday on charges of harassing Mesram Ahalya (35) a panchayat secretary of Ruyyadi in Talamadugu mandal. According to II Town SI Sambaiah, Ravinder Reddy, a married man was a private passenger jeep driver regularly plying on the Ruyyadi rout from Adilabad. Ahalya, also a married woman, residing at Vidyanagar colony, used to travel by jeep to Ruyyadi. On Sunday, Ravinder Reddy went to her house and threatened to commit suicide in case Ahalya did not agree to marry her. Hearing the commotion, Ahalya's neighbours lodged a complaint with the police who arrested the accused from Gandhi park. A case has been registered.
