Sri Lankan Minister hails 'Velugu'

HYDERABAD July 16. The Sri Lankan Minister for Rural Economy, Bandula Gunawardena, has hailed the State Government's "Velugu'' programme as a trailblazer and said that it could be replicated in his country.

Mr.Gunawardena called on Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu at Secretariat after a visit to Mahbubnagar and Kurnool districts to study the programme. Appreciating its implementation, he told the Chief Minister that the philosophy of the poverty alleviation programme could be localised and implemented in his country, according to a press release from the Chief Minister's Office.

The Minister also visited Hitec city e-Seva centre and Rythu Bazar.
