After medical examination, 10 students were prescribed treatment and the others, who were found fit, were discharged without any medication. As many as As many as tthree students were admitted for treatment. Some students of Malappanahatti, about 3 km from Chitradurga, started vomiting. Some more also vomited. On seeing this, villagers and teachers alerted the district administration, police and hospital authorities. Ambulances were rushed to the spot to bring the children to hospital. Speaking to The Hindu, Prasad, District Surgeon, said, "only three students have been treated and the others have been kept under observation. There is no need to worry. But we have taken precautionary measures. We have examined 117 students of the school and their condition is fine.'' ``The problem is more of psychological in nature than physical. If one student complains, the others start complaining. This is a similar case. To clear doubts in the minds of students and parents we brought 120 students to the hospital and got them checked. Every one is fine,'' a Senior Physician, Sharanappa, said. M.A.Sadiq, Deputy Commissioner, and G.Murugan, Superintendent of Police, visited the hospital.
