Bhandari bags 5 wkts.

London July 16. India `A', on the first day of the three-day fixture against Surrey County Cricket Club at The AMP Oval, dominated the proceedings with the right arm fast medium bowler Amit Bhandari dismissing five batsmen. The home side, after a fine start was eventually all out for 173.

At close, India `A' in reply scored 235 for the loss of two wickets.

The scores:

Surrey — 1st innings: 173 (R. Clarke 38, A. Bhandari five for 54, A.M. Salvi three for 49).

India `A ' — 1st innings: 235 for two (S. Sriram batting 92, S.S. Das 74, G. Gambhir batting 43).
