VHP meet on Ayodhya today

By Our Special Correspondent

NEW DELHI JULY 10. Top leaders of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) will be meeting here tomorrow to take stock of the recent happenings related to the resolution of the Ayodhya impasse. They are expected to draw up a strategy to intensify mobilisation of the people for building a Ram temple at the site in Ayodhya, held in trust by the Central Government under the direction of the Supreme Court.

The meeting is expected to begin at 10 a.m. and go on till late evening. V.H.Dalmia, Ashok Singhal, Giriraj Kishore and Pravin Togadia are expected to participate, along with a large number of `sadhus' and `sants'. A VHP spokesperson said that about 50 persons would sit together to chalk out plans for a massive agitation programme. With the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh having recently adopted a resolution on Ayodhya, Kashi and Mathura at its Kanyakumari conclave, no softening of the VHP stance is expected.
