KLM Royal to issue E-tickets

By Our Special Correspondent

NEW DELHI JULY 10. Passengers travelling on KLM Royal Dutch Airlines and Northwest Airlines out of India can now ask for an "E-ticket'' instead of a paper ticket. E-tickets will initially be issued through the KLM/Northwest offices in New Delhi and Mumbai. In the coming months, the new tickets will also be available in the rest of the country through KLM's general sales agents, travel agents and online via www.klm.com.

Passengers travelling on E-tickets do not get a paper ticket. Proof of reservation is not required because the traveller's personal and flight data are electronically stored in the reservation system.
